Dock Dog is Here!

Welcome to the world, Dock Dog!

In the excitement that followed publishing Lake Bear, Linda and I talked often about future books and projects. We both discovered how much we loved the creative process and how proud we were of what we'd accomplished.

One of those ideas was Dock Dog. We wrote a draft fairly quickly, but then life happened. There were soccer tournaments, busy weeks, daily chores, and all the little things that fill our days. The manuscript quietly slipped into the background under the heading, when there is time.

About a year ago, Linda showed me some beautiful illustrations she had been working on. While I was busy being a mom, building a real estate career, and wondering what color to paint the bedroom, she had been quietly creating magic.

The moment I saw those illustrations, I found the time.

This project is especially dear to our hearts. Linda's Portuguese Water Dog is her baby, and this story is inspired by both real life and imagination. Her artwork is charming, sweet, and full of personality, and I am honored to have written the words that accompany it.

Today, I received the first author proofs. We still have a few small tweaks to make, but it will be available soon and we couldn't be more excited.
